The Experts’ Secret

17 Flares 17 Flares ×

Have you heard about the gurus who are proclaiming they have taken a “quantum leap” in their businesses? Many times these coaches, mentors and experts were making good money, but all of a sudden, they jumped from six figures into the millions of dollars.

What is the experts' secret? What is their secret? What allowed them to make this giant leap? The answer is that they added an event to their offerings of products and services. But not just any event. Because they know the secrets and the strategies that can turn a three day intensive boot camp into a six or sometimes even seven figure payday.

In the next few blog posts I will share the strategies that allow experts to make more money in one single weekend than most people make in a whole year.

Strategy #1 – Offer content that your audience wants.

When we have expertise in a certain topic, too often we think we know what to teach our audience. We know what they need to know. Unfortunately, what you think your audience needs to know and what your audience wants to learn about are usually not the same thing. Be sure you know exactly what it is that your audience really wants to know.

It takes some research to find out exactly who your ideal customer is and what their biggest struggle is. But it pays off. When you create your content based on the solution to your attendees problems, your event is poised for success. Your audience can’t wait to register for your event and also to continue working with you to make their “pain” go away.

The dirty little secret is that many internet gurus make most of their money offline. And the best way to fill high end programs is still face to face at a live event. Thanks for sharing this, Lynn!

  3. Awesome post, Daphne!

“When you create your content based on the solution to your attendees problems, your event is poised for success.”

I couldn’t agree with you more! In doing so, you’re shining the spotlight on your audience, not on you. 🙂

Therefore, it’s well worth the time and energy needed to research exactly who your ideal client or customer is and what your target audience is struggling with.

Events can definitely (and happily) boost your bottom line!

That is the secret sauce, right there Melanie. Without knowing what your ideal client wants, you are wasting valuable time and money. Thanks for that great comment!
