Coming up with blog posts and articles is a challenge, especially when you are on a self inflicted schedule. We all know how important it is to post regularly on our blogs. It keeps the Google monster happy and brings a regular flow of traffic to our website. And that is where we can sign people up for our email list and, let’s be blunt, get clients.
A couple of weeks ago, I was staring at my computer without any inspiration. I have been creating lessons for my “How To Market A Seminar With Social Media” course and frankly, my brain was empty. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to spend a little time in my LinkedIn group.
I Was In Need Of Some Blog CPR
Someone had posted a question on using music at events that I could answer, which I did happily. As I was writing, a tip from Nicole Dean’s Blog CPR came to mind. Nicole is a successful internet marketer, great writer and prolific blogger. She never seems to run out of content and she posts a lot more than I do.
Her tip was that every time she answers a question on social media, a forum or in an email to her clients, she copies her answer and pastes it as a draft on her blog.
Voila! Within minutes I went from a blank screen to a full-fledged article on licensing music for your events.
I took another one of Nicole’s Blog CPR ideas to create the series on Event Must Haves and Must NOT Haves. The answers were in the LinkedIn group and I asked the experts if I could share their answers in a blog post. They all said yes immediately and that was another 2 quick posts.
Work Smarter, Not Harder
I am a firm believer in working smarter, not harder. Social media is a great vehicle to raise your profile and build relationships. Who knew it would be such a rich resource for blog posts and articles that drive people to your website, get people to sign up for your email list and ultimately, get more clients?
Nicole shares many more tips and secrets in Blog CPR that I am implementing in my blog that make my life easier and my blog more successful.
Her course is only $17 and I already saved that (and MUCH more) in time. Just getting more out of my social media time is worth every penny!
