Today’s entry is perfect for the service professionals among us. Most service professionals are awesome at what they do, but actually getting clients is a challenge. After all, they teach law, not marketing in law school. Workshops and seminars are a great way for selling professional services.
If you actually perform a service, like accounting, legal services, marketing and website design, this next item is right up your alley.
#3 – Done-For-You Services.
Done-For-You Services are a popular back of the room sale for service professionals. For instance if you are an accountant and you run a workshop on tax reduction strategies for small business owners, you can sell your done for you services on the back end. This can be anything from setting up Quickbooks, to a monthly bookkeeping service to tax preparation.
Most service professionals have done-for-you services and those are perfect for back of the room sales. The only drawback is that done-for-you services involve your time and it keeps you in the trading time for dollars business model.
Your time is at a premium, because it is a finite resource, so charge a premium. Make sure you only sell your services in a packages at your workshops and seminars and not by the hour.
