Paul Evans at The Barefoot Executive’s Event

I have talked quite a bit about using video in your event marketing. Video and events go together like peanut butter and jelly, wine and cheese and any other wonderful combination you can think of.

Since I have spent a couple of amazing sessions with Carrie Wilkerson (the Barefoot Executive) and Paul Evans at NAMS, I wanted to share them with you. Carrie is showcasing Paul on her event marketing video.

Paul and Carrie each had an inspirational keynote at NAMS, and they taught together as well.  Individually they are great speakers, motivational and funny, but together they are the Dynamic Duo.  They are successful and know their stuff, but more importantly, they know how to teach it.  (And isn’t that what your events are about?)

Paul literally had me crying at his keynote, I was laughing so hard. He can have you crying the other way as well, because his story is sad, yet uplifting.

In this brief video from Carrie’s BOSS event, he talks about perfection.  It is a quick clip that Carrie posted to promote her event

If you have speakers at your events, make sure that you post a video of them speaking on YouTube, and overlay your event information. It gives your potential audience a taste of what they can expect.

  1. LOL – Dynamic Duo – LOVE that!!

Life is too short not to work with people you like!!

We have so much fun together and I trust him so implicitly with my personal audience that I’m happy to share his content all over the place.

I’ve heard him speak dozens of times and it never gets old.

    Peanut butter & Jelly.
    Batman & Robin.
    Beans & Cornbread.
    Milk & Cookies.

Yep – some things just go together!

Great to see you here, Carrie! Thanks for stopping by. I am a big Paul Evans fan after listening to 2 keynotes and his sessions at NAMS, both in August by himself and a couple of weeks ago with you.

Really enjoyed your sessions and I am glad to be able to share you two with my audience!

Milk & Cookies, Carrie & Paul. Indeed, some things just go together!

  2. Daphne,

I’m so glad you wrote this post. I’ve been learning
from Carrie since 2008, subscribed to her List
    Building membership, participated
in her WAHW group and had the pleasure of her
selecting one of my articles for publication. Carrie
was the catalyst for my coming online at the end of
2008. All of this to say I can definitely agree with
you that she is a Dynamic Woman. Having followed
her story since early 2008 I know she is also a
wonderful mother showing that it is possible to
    combine the two successfully.

Then I got to know Paul in 2010 through Nicheology and
absolutely adore him although he does not know it.

Just listening to them individually was a joy and watching
as they played off each other’s strength during their
training was a lesson in itself. They are a Dynamic Duo.

    Great meeting you at NAMS!

      Hi Yvonne,
When I came online a few years ago, Carrie was one of the first people I noticed. She sure is an inspiration, and I am looking forward to reading her book “The Barefoot Executive” that I just received in the mail from her. I’ll be sure to post a review on it.
I didn’t know anything about Paul until NAMS last August, when he did a keynote and I attended his training on “Sellinars”, something he does with Carrie. He got me hooked pretty quickly!

Thanks for stopping by and adding your experiences with Carrie and Paul. Glad we got to meet at NAMS!
