Onesies: Cute For Babies, Not For Sales

You know onesies, right?  They are the cute little one piece bodysuits that every baby needs. They are the cornerstone of the layette, the huge supply of things parents need for their new baby.

10K in a day marketing strategyFor most people the onesie is also the cornerstone of their business. However, this onesie is not that cute. It is the one-off sale that you make one at a time.

Don’t get me wrong, any sale is a good sale.  But whenever, you are trying to sell one to one, you are spending a lot of effort that may be better used elsewhere.

Most of us spend time having one-on-one sales conversations.  What if you could have these sales conversations one to many?  Actually you can and you can leverage your sales conversation in a variety of ways.

Registration or sales pages

You have seen these sales pages on the internet.  Many of them are very long and are universally hated.  Yet they function beautifully as a one-to-many sales conversation.  The best ones draw you in with a story that you can relate to.  Perhaps they focus on a problem that you have and then the solution.  It addresses any questions that you may have (and that is why they are so long, answering all these questions and objections).


When you teach a webinar, not only are teaching valuable content about a topic, you are also offering a solution to a problem your attendees experience. When you present your offer at the end, you are having a sales conversation with all your attendees at the same time.  The nice part about a webinar is that you can answer any questions as they come up.

Workshops and seminars

Workshops and seminars work in much the same way as webinars.  The big advantage of a workshop over a webinar is that it is face to face.  You have a captive audience that is not distracted by others entering their office, kids that want to be fed or other interesting things on the internet. (Facebook, anyone?)  In addition, having a face to face conversation with someone, even in an event setting is much more powerful than a virtual conversation.  That is why live events are hands down the best way to sell your products, services and programs.
