The experts know that in order to make a substantial income with their seminars, they need to rely on more than just ticket sales. Sure, having 50 people pay $1,000 for your seminar makes a nice income, but it doesn’t make you a millionaire. And while $50,000 isn’t chump change, when you factor in the costs of your marketing, the venue and your audiovisual requirements, it isn’t going to make you rich.
The real success of your workshop or seminar is in the additional revenue streams. And yes, the more revenue streams, the more lucrative your seminar will be. Of these additional sources of income, the back of the room sales are the most obvious. Many of the gurus use their seminars to fill up their high end mastermind programs. And some of these programs are well in the tens of thousands of dollars per year and sometimes even break $100,000. That is per person, so you can see how one seminar can get you up to the seven figures in a hurry.
But don’t stop there. There are many more revenue streams that will boost your seminar profit. You can add sponsors by targeting companies that share your ideal audience. You can also invite speakers and receive a share of anything they sell during their portion of the program. The added bonus is that it gives you a break as well. And by turning your workshop into an information product, your seminar will continue to bring in income long after your attendees have gone home.
