Marketing Tune Up For Your Business

Is your marketing strategy need a tune up?As we roll into the New Year, it is a perfect time to evaluate our processes, our systems and give our businesses a marketing tune up.  Although we need to do this periodically throughout the year, we usually get so busy that we forget about it, or don’t have time for it.  However, when we have everything up to date and working right, it makes our lives easier, our marketing more effortless and our business more profitable.

So here are some questions for you so that you can tune up your marketing right alongside me.

Are you talking to the right audience?
Sometimes we shift focus in the middle of the year, and when you look at your marketing, you realize that you are not talking to your ideal client.  You may think you are, when in fact you are talking about subjects that your ideal audience is long past, or that are too advanced for them.  Take a good look at your ideal client. Are you really speaking their language?

Is your lead catcher doing its job?
We all have our lead generator on our website, our ethical bribe for people to opt in and get on our list.  Sometimes it’s been there for years, other times we have made some changes.  If you have had yours up for a while, is it still doing its job, or is it a little outdated?  If you have changed it, is it as powerful as your previous lead catcher?  Check your conversion rates and make sure that you have a lead generator that encourages op- ins and builds your list.

Are your autoresponders up to date?
When people opt into your list, what do you do with them?  Do they just get added to your weekly newsletter, or do you have a customized series of informational and marketing messages in place? If you have an autoresponder series, are all the messages still relevant?  Do all the links work?  Are you promoting products and services (your own and affiliates) that are still on the market, valid and appropriate?

Of course there are many more places to evaluate, but this is a good start.  It is what I will be focusing on in my business, in addition to planning new programs and taking my clients on exciting Six Figure Seminar journeys.
