Did you know that your event doesn’t have to be large to make a lot of money?
One of the major workshop myths out there is that you have to have a large audience for you to make a lot of money. That is just not true. It is much more important to have the right audience than to have a large audience.
While large events have more potential for making more money, that doesn’t mean that small events can’t be very lucrative. Sometimes smaller events do even better.
When you have a smaller event, chances are you have a highly targeted audience. The people that are at your event are there for a specific reason: to learn from you.
Since the event is smaller, it is also more intimate. That gives you more opportunities to really connect with your audience. You can answer more questions and establish a genuine relationship with your attendees.
That will make them more likely to want to continue working with you further in a high level program, such as a private coaching or mentoring program or a small group mastermind. After all, they know, like and trust you and the value you can bring to them and their business.
Let me run some numbers for you.
Scenario 1 – A Full Day Workshop
You put 20 of your ideal clients in a room for a full day workshop at $100. That is $2,000 in ticket revenue. During the course of the day you give them great content and then give them the opportunity to work with you for $1,000. And about half take you up on that for a total of $10,000. Add in the ticket revenue and that is a $12,000 workshop right there.
Scenario 2 – An Intimate Retreat
Let’s make it even smaller. You give an exclusive live retreat or workshop for only 10 people. Since this is really intimate and exclusive, you can charge more for it and in this case you charge $500. That is $5,000 right there. And since you have dazzled them with your brilliance, they sign up for a yearlong program at $5,000 for the year. (Cheap, I know!) And again half of them take you up on this for a total of $25,000. Together with the ticket revenue you have made $30,000.
Here are just two scenarios that are possible. All you need is a solid event strategy, attendees and an offer. To find out more about how to make big bucks with small workshops, check out my free report, “3 Simple Secrets To Making 10K in a Day With Small Workshops“.
