In last weeks’ webinar I talked about event registration pages and in particular the lack of an attention grabbing headline as a HUGE mistake that leaves your workshop rooms empty.
You only have a few seconds to grab someone’s attention with your headline before they click away and you want to make sure that you make those seconds count.
One of the webinar participants asked a great question.
Michele asked if I could share an example of a great headline.
And yes, I could. In fact, I shared several with her.
Do I remember all the great headlines? Of course not.
Event Headline Swipe File
I have several formulas that I use, but most of all I have a swipe file. Every time I see a great headline for an event, I copy and paste it in a word document.
All smart marketers have a swipe file of great headlines or other examples of great marketing. I have one for direct mail and email subject lines as well.
I recommend you start your own swipe file of headlines. Of course you never should use these headlines as is, but let them inspire you to create your own attention grabbing headline.
You get my event headline swipe file when you join the Butts In Seats Virtual Boot Camp. It will give you a head start on your collection of great headlines.
In fact, I used it just the other day to come up with a great headline for a client. I am sure it will help you create a great headline for your event as well.
