A SIMPLE Way To Market Your Workshop

1 Flares 1 Flares ×

A couple of months ago, I created a post about how to use video to market your event.  One of the examples I sited was a video for Bob Jenkins’ upcoming event, SIMPLE 2.  I have had the privilege of learning from Bob and he is a fantastic teacher.  He doesn’t go by Bob The Teacher for nothing.

I have learned simple strategies from him about internet marketing and specific software, including the Digital Access Pass I use for my Winning Workshop Secrets website.  He truly teaches you how to use your expertise and turn it into products that you can market on the internet or at your workshops, by connecting, creating and collaborating.  What better place to do that than at events?

What I like about the video is that it

  • provides social proof.  It makes a great use of testimonials given at the last event.  Make sure you collect them at your events as well.
  • is high energy.  I looks like a party and no one wants to be left out of the fun, right?
  • emphasizes the relationships that the attendees have formed, be it friendships, affiliates or joint ventures.  Remember, relationships are a big benefit of your event as well.

  1. Hello from Montana:

Great to meet you on the #blogboost. Let’s just keep writing.

I am a writer and speaker and have decided to do teleseminars on a regular basis in addition to in person speeches and workshops.

Where are you located? We have a great speakers group called NorthWest Speakers Association.

    Good luck, Judy Helm Wright

It is nice to meet you on the blog challenge as well, Judy. I plan to keep writing and posting (but maybe not quite as often!). I am located in Atlanta, GA, but work all over the country. Thanks for commenting and keep visiting!

  2. This is weird. I just ran into Bob the teacher, yesterday.

I loved the video. I could use a little more simple in my planning. And it a perfect example for using video for promotion.

My sister and I have been attending a WordPress Geek event once a month and the organizer has dropped the ball so I was considering picking it up and organizing the event my self. The video is such great idea and like you say, simple.

That is so funny, Sheila. Small world. Please let me know if you do a video for the WordPress Geek events. I’d love to see it.

  3. I loved the video and I love Bob and Felicia and Adam.
If clear and SIMPLE is what you need, Bob is the one to follow!
